"Piroxicam gel is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug meant for a combination of conditions indicated by discomfort and inflammation, or immobility. It is useful in the treatment of osteoarthritis of external joints including the knee, periarthritis, acute musculoskeletal injuries, tendinitis, epicondylitis and tenosynovitis. The medicine should not be provided to a condition in which aspirin and different non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) cause the symptoms of nasal polyps, urticaria, angioneurotic oedema or asthma. Life-threatening cutaneous responses, such as medication responses with eosinophilia and systemic symptoms (DRESS syndrome), Stevens-Johnson syndrome (SJS) and toxic epidermal necrolysis (TEN) have been noted with the usage of systemic control of piroxicam.
